Do you accept submissions?
Most of our articles are now commission based with a limited number of adhoc submissions accepted each issue. If you would like to write for the journal and join our team of contributors you are welcome to send through some of your work.

Can I send you a press release for my brand?

If you are interested in sharing a founder interview, story behind the brand or general business promotion you are welcome to join our conscious marketplace. You can review the packages here)

We love showcasing conscious brands that align with our values, including handmade goods, ethical and sustainable products, art, thoughtful service-based businesses, slow fashion, eco-friendly items, and slow stays.

Where do you print the journal?
The journal came from very humble beginnings—our first issues were printed locally in Coffs Harbour on 100% recycled paper. After Issue 8, we experienced significant growth and shifted to a print-on-demand model to help us keep up.

Printing on demand allows us to print only what’s needed and reduce waste. It also enables us to print in different countries, which means we don’t have to ship journals across oceans—saving on both cost and environmental impact.

Once we reach a certain number of subscribers, we plan to do a bulk print run in Australia using 100% recycled paper. Print-on-demand will continue to be used for international and off-season orders, as well as for keeping back issues available.

Can I do my work placement at SLOW?
Unfortunately, we’re not able to offer work placements at this time. We’re a small team working remotely, and our hands are pretty full behind the scenes. We truly appreciate your interest and support—it means a lot!
