Grow your own food

Welcome to week 1!

I'm certain that our connection to food could both help to heal a depleted planet and allow our bodies to thrive as well as to promote flourishing communities.

Food is sacred.

Not only is it one of the basic necessities in order for us to live, it nourishes our bodies, provides us with energy to do the things we love and it brings us together to connect.

Food is a celebration, and the plants that we eat are a natural phenomenon.

Each plant or tree with its own innate intelligence and mechanisms that allow it to harness sunlight to grow, to share nutrients underground through mycelium networks, to ward off predators by releasing toxic substances into their leaves and the ability to form the most beautiful symmetrical patterns within their fruit, leaves and seed pods.

Plants and trees are sentient beings with the ability to feel things and respond to their surroundings. They are very much alive, aware and hold the key to our own ability to thrive.

This week we are going to begin reaping the benefits that come from reforming a connection to our food.
