Issue 16 - Field notes
Field notes
This issue, we’ve been gathering field notes—stories that span landscapes, identities, and ways of moving through the world. From desert islands to inner terrain, salty coastlines to tiny homes, this collection explores what it means to live with intention in shifting environments.
We meet a woman who reclaims her heritage through the flavours of home, and another who reads tarot as an act of rebellion and reflection. We go offshore, where the sea writes its own kind of poetry, and speak with a visual storyteller about the art of preserving fleeting beauty. There are lessons from anthropologists and quiet musings from the middle of Australia—each piece a field note from a life deeply felt, and deeply observed.
P.s you can now grab a hardcopy subscription here so you never miss an issue!
You will also automatically go in the draw to WIN some epic prizes like slow escapes and goodies from our favourite ethical brands. When you subscribe it helps to keep this Indie mag alive! A HUGE THANK YOU for your ongoing support!
